Spring Sport Registration is closed for Soccer.  It will remain open for the following sports.  (Baseball, Softball, Track and Wee Pee). 

Please note if you are interested in soccer send me an email.  We are in the process of forming our teams and potentially will be able to add a player.


Spring Soccer:

Registration open until March 8th

Deadline to enter teams with CYO office – March 14th

Deadline to enter team rosters with CYO office – March 21st

Soccer is open to all St. Joan of Arc students and parish children grades 1st-8th.  Practices are usually twice a week for about an hour at a time.  Coaches set up practice for days and times that are convenient for them at the CYO fields. (Days and times will vary by team).

Games start on April 1st and April 2nd, games are usually played on Saturdays and Sundays at the CYO fields due to the short season.  Saturday games can start as early as 10:30 and are played into late afternoon.  Sunday games can start after 1pm and are played into late afternoon.

No practices or games will be scheduled April 13th-April16th (Holy week).

Tournaments are played by teams in 5th-8th grades.  Tournament games can be scheduled any day May1st-13th.  Soccer tournament finals will be played May 20th

Equipment needed:

Players are required to have shin guards, soccer cleats, and a ball sized for their age (1st-2nd grades ball size 3, 3rd-6thgrades ball size 4, 7th-8th grades ball size 5).

SJA CYO Softball 2017 Program Information:

  • Registration Period: Now
  • Coaches identified, and teams created early-April
  • Practices begin in early-April
  • Games begin the first week of May and will run through June
  • All games are played at the CYO sports complex on Holland-Sylvania Road

Players/parents should anticipate having two (2) evening practices per week in April. Games will be typically held on Monday and Wednesday evenings in May and June.  Weather typically plays a big factor in the schedule week to week.

We would very much appreciate receiving your completed softball registration by Friday, March 24, 2017.  Although the softball games do not begin until the first week of May, team formation and registration with the CYO office must be completed by early April.

SJA Track:
Track is open to all 4-8 graders:

Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday at Gateway Middle School in Maumee (weather permitting)
Track Season first meet is April 23 and the last meet CYO Championship Meet is May 21 in Bowling Green.  
Meets are typically on Saturday or Sunday and run from 9:00am-5:00pm, except for the Championship which starts at 12:00pm.
Kids will be outside running and should always dress appropriate for the spring weather.  
Events include: 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1 mile runs; Running Relays; Field events of Long Jump, High Jump; Shot Put and Discuss.

Wee-Pee Baseball (Boys and Girls):

Kids K-2nd grade are encouraged to come out and learn the game.  This is a developmental Coach Pitch / T-Ball sport designed to be fun with very little time commitment.  You are encouraged to play other sports along with wee-pee baseball/softball.  We will introduce the rules and fair play for all.  No Experience Necessary.  Let's have fun and enjoy Spring.
